Private Sound Healing Sessions in Anacortes

Signature Session with Lara

A Signature Sound Healing Session is a 75-minute private sound healing session designed entirely around you, and held in a quiet, private space in my home in Anacortes. I begin with a biofield assessment, then place Tibetan singing bowls directly on and around your body, adjusting in real time to what the bowls reveal. Within 24 hours, you’ll receive a personal recap with what I noticed and practices to continue at home.

Is a Private Sound Healing Session Right for You?

A private session is for anyone who wants more than general relaxation. Maybe you’ve come to my sound baths and felt your body soften, but the stress comes back by Tuesday. Maybe there’s tension you carry in one spot, a stretch of life that’s asking a lot of you, or a feeling of being stuck that you can’t quite name. Maybe you’re recovering from something and your body needs a gentler, more individual kind of attention.

If any of that sounds familiar, a private session gives your system time and space that a group simply can’t.

Sound Bath or Private Session: What’s the Difference?

A sound bath is a shared experience designed for everyone in the room. You lie back, the crystal singing bowls and other musical instruments fill the space. Your body takes what it needs from the frequencies in the room. It’s a beautiful way to experience sound healing, and for many people, it’s their first taste of what sound can do.

A private sound therapy session is different because it’s built around one person. I’m not playing for a room, I’m listening to your body and biofield. During the session, the bowls are placed directly on your body, so the vibration moves through you, and they are held around your body and biofield. I can hear where a bowl rings clear and where it sounds dull or off, and I work with those areas to bring them into resonance. While I work with pre-selected patterns, I allow your body to lead me, showing me the areas that need more attention.

What Happens During Your Sound Healing Session

Before you arrive. You’ll fill out a short intake form about what’s creating stress in your life and any physical considerations. It gives me an early sense of where your body and energy may need support.

When you arrive. I’ll offer you a glass of gem water to sip as you settle in. To help release anything you may have carried in with you from the day, I’ll offer a light rosewater spritz and a tuning fork clearing so you can arrive fully in the room.

Opening conversation. We start by talking. I want to know what’s happening in your life, how your body is feeling, and what you’re hoping might shift or soften. This is unhurried time, and you share only what feels comfortable.

Body and biofield assessment. Once you’re settled on the table, I use the 417 Hz tuning fork to help release any negative energies and invite positive energies into the room, then I assess your chakras and your biofield with a pendulum. This shows me where energy is balanced, imbalanced, stuck or depleted. It provides me with additional ways I can help you rebalance during the sound bowl healing session.

Tibetan bowls on and around the body. I begin with a single bowl to gently alert your body and biofield that we’re doing work today. This is a great opportunity for you to settle in and relax. Then, I move into the full sequence, placing sound bowls directly on and around your body in pre-chosen patterns. Each bowl produces a fundamental tone layered with overtones, which provides your body with a wide range of frequencies and vibrations. Many people feel their breath deepen and their muscles let go. Getting into a deep rest state, even falling asleep is normal. Throughout the sound healing session I’m listening to the bowls. A spot that’s out of balance sounds very different, with an off tone or very little vibration. I use those sounds to help guide where I go and how long I stay.

Biofield clearing and recharging. Toward the end, I reassess your body and biofield to see what has naturally shifted. If anything is stuck or imbalanced, I work with a bowl, and sometimes a tuning fork when a more focused vibration is needed. Drawing on Eileen McKusick’s biofield anatomy, I work with any areas that may hold inherited or generational stress, showing up as energy habits or patterns that are often hard to break, but were never fully ours to carry. When I know the biofield is clear, I charge it with a selenite wand.

Closing. I usually close with a 432 Hz tuning fork to welcome the energy created during the session with gratitude, though sometimes I’m called to use other instruments instead. I finish with Koshi chimes, giving you time to come back into the room. Once the session is over, you are invited to lie there for as long as you need, and we can discuss what came up in the session.

Integration & What You Take Home

After we talk about the things I noticed in the session, you’ll receive a personal recap email within 24 hours. It covers which chakras were imbalanced and how they shifted, what showed up in your biofield, and in certain situations I’ll provide frequencies or sound healing practices you can do at home.

Your body keeps integrating the session for about 24 to 72 hours afterward. It’s important to stay well hydrated during this time to help your body process all of the frequencies it just absorbed. During that time, you may feel deeply relaxed, energized, a little agitated or tired as your system shifts and settles. All are normal responses, and I have experienced them all as well after sound healing work. I’ll check in with you the next day to see how you’re doing, and if you’re ever experiencing low energy or agitation, I’m here to help provide additional guidance as you move through what needs to be released.

Why I Offer Private Sessions

My own healing started with breathwork and meditation. I was dealing with overwhelm, a habit of overdoing, and perimenopause symptoms, and those practices gave me my first real tools for coming back to myself. Then I was in two car accidents six months apart, and the pain and lack of focus made it hard to meditate the way I had before. That’s when sound became my teacher. It showed me, on a much deeper level, how to calm my nervous system, release tensions and imbalances, and ease my pain when my usual practices felt out of reach.

That experience is a big part of why I care so much about one-on-one work. I know what it’s like when your body needs more than a general practice. Your body has its own story, and it deserves to be listened to.
