What is Sound Healing Therapy?
Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses vibration and resonance to support the body’s natural ability to regulate, rest, and restore balance. When immersed in therapeutic sound, the nervous system shifts, brainwaves slow, the stress response softens, and a depth of stillness becomes available that many people rarely experience otherwise. Research points to measurable effects on the vagus nerve, heart rate variability, and overall nervous system regulation.
It’s important to note that sound healing is a complementary wellness practice, working alongside other approaches to support whole-body wellbeing. It is not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

2) Tone Circle singing meditations
A Tone Circle™ gathering is a facilitated group experience in which participants use their own voices (toning, humming, and sacred vowel sounds) to create a shared field of resonance, presence, and healing.
Lara is a certified Tone Circle™ facilitator, trained in the use of voice as a therapeutic tool for nervous system regulation, chakra activation, emotional release, and collective coherence. Tone Circle gatherings are not performance; they are a singing meditation. No singing ability required, musical background, or prior experience is needed.
When voices join together in sustained sound, something shifts in the room. Individual tones align, overtones emerge, and a shared resonant field takes shape, one that participants often describe as deeply held, surprisingly moving, and unlike anything they’ve experienced before.

A sound bath is a shared experience in which participants lie down (fully clothed), typically on a yoga mat or blanket, while Lara plays live therapeutic instruments. There is nothing to do or achieve. You simply receive.
Lara hosts group sound baths at venues throughout Skagit County, including The Dancing Camel Yoga Studio and new locations to be announced soon. Suitable for all experience levels, including complete beginners.
4) Sound workshops
Lara also offers experiential sound workshops exploring the healing power of voice and sound, including The Power of Humming & Sacred Vowel Sounds, a hands-on experience teaching participants to use their own voice as a tool for nervous system regulation and self-healing. No singing ability or prior experience required.

No. Sound healing does not require prior experience, a spiritual practice, or any particular beliefs. The physiological effects of therapeutic sound do not depend on what you believe, you simply need a willingness to rest and let go.
Lara works with Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, her own voice, and Koshi chimes. Instruments are selected intuitively based on each person’s individual needs.
Lara’s sound baths usually include Tibetan singing bowls, a solfeggio-tuned crystal singing bowl set, a chakra tuned crystal bowl set, tuning forks, Koshi chimes, ocean drums, and seed chimes. The solfeggio-tuned crystal bowl set is particularly rare in this region — each bowl is tuned to one of the ancient Solfeggio frequencies, a system of tones rooted in sacred music and sound healing tradition that very few practitioners work with in a dedicated set.
Sound healing works through external vibration and resonance rather than touch or directed breathwork. Many people, including those whose minds stay active during meditation, find that therapeutic sound carries them into a depth of stillness that is otherwise hard to reach.
Sound healing is gentle and non-invasive, appropriate for most people. If you have specific health concerns, implanted medical devices, epilepsy or are in the first trimester of pregnancy, please contact Lara before booking.
