Sound Healing Workshop

Do you want to learn how to regulate your nervous system?

You don’t need special equipment or years of practice to start calming it. Your own voice, through simple practices like humming and vocal toning, can be one of the most accessible tools you have for finding a sense of steadiness again.

During The Power of Humming & Sacred Vowel Sounds workshop you’ll learn humming techniques and vowel toning methods that help calm your nervous system, balance your energy, bring your heart into coherence, and reconnect with your body’s natural capacity for regulation and healing.

Stay tuned for my next workshop date!

The 2.5-hour workshop typically flows like this:

  • Opening mini-sound bath: A short crystal singing bowl sound bath to help you settle in and arrive in your body
  • Humming practice: Learning why humming is one of the simplest and most effective tools for shifting your nervous system, plus practicing it together
  • The seven chakras: An accessible introduction to the chakra system, what each center relates to, and the vowel associated with each center
  • Sacred vowel toning: Guided practice with the specific vowel sounds connected to each chakra, including Jonathan Goldman’s work on frequency and intention
  • Closing group toning session: Blending voices and crystal bowls together to close the session
  • Home practice guidance: A take-home guide so you can continue the practices on your own

Humming and vocal toning aren’t just relaxing in the moment, research suggests they support real shifts in the body, including vagus nerve activation and a calmer, more regulated nervous system. When toning is practiced in a group, that effect often deepens into a shared sense of connection and calm.

Absolutely no singing experience is needed. These practices work with whatever voice you have.

Why Sound Healing Workshops Work

Sound healing doesn’t have to be something that only happens during a session with a practitioner. Your own voice is one of the most accessible healing tools you have. My sound healing workshops are a mix of listening and participatory experiences. You’ll practice what you learn alongside others in a small, supported group, and you’ll leave with tools you can use at home, on your own, for as long as you want them.

What to Bring

Mats, chairs, bolsters, and blankets are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own seating. That said, you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable and supports you in settling into a calm, restful state.

A few suggestions:

  • Water bottle to help your body and throat stay hydrated
  • A notepad and pen if you like to jot down thoughts or reflections
  • A pillow for extra comfort during the mini sound baths
  • Wear comfortable clothing
